Order:
How can I place my order?

Order on Website: The great thing about the Second Harvest Curriculum online store is that we are open 24/7. Begin at our Catalog Page and enjoy the shopping experience in the comfort of your own home.
Order by Phone: To place an order please call our toll free number, 877-923-1682 and place your order with our helpful staff. Our phone hours are 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Central Time, Monday through Friday. For special requests, ordering by phone is your best option.

Email Confirmations
PLEASE add our email address shc@usedhomeschoolbooks.com to your safe or approved senders list (white list) as we will be sending you a copy of your sales receipt, shipping information and tracking number. We want to make sure that we are able to communicate with you.

Shipping Rates:
What are your shipping rates?

U.S. Shipping Rates for USPS Media Mail:
Minimum $4.50
$25 - $49.99 = 17% of order
$50 - $124.99 = 14% of order
$125 or more = 10% of order

U.S. Shipping Rates for USPS Priority Mail:
Up to $20.00 = $9.99
$20.01 - $50.00 = $12.99
$50.01 or more = 25% of order

Canadian and International Shipping Rates:

Canadian - 4 times the Purchase Order shipping rate + $4.95 handling.
International - 7 times the Purchase Order shipping rate + $4.95 handling.
Shipping costs for USPS Priority Mail are calculated in our office. You will be notified via email and PayPal for any discrepancy (shortage) in final cost of shipping charges.

Shipping Rates for International, AK, HI, and US Territories Orders:
Shipping costs are calculated in our office and applied to order. Your Credit Card will be charged the amount and you will be notified of the final cost of your purchase via email.

By what method do you mail my order?
All orders are shipped via United States Postal Service unless special arrangements are made with our shipping department via phone. Please make sure you put down your PO box or shipping address on your order form. We find their media mail a very effective and efficient way to mail orders to you.

Do I need insurance?
We suggest you insure your books. Our SHC staff works hard to make sure your books are packed securely. At times Media Mail packages get lost or damaged in route to you. Second Harvest Curriculum is not responsible for books that are lost, damaged or stolen in the mail. If you are at all concerned about this, please purchase insurance on our order form below.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Monday thru Thursday orders ship within 24-48 hrs
Friday and weekend orders ship Monday
If you are ordering during any holiday, please take that into consideration.

Media Mail Shipping: 5-14 day delivery. SHC not responsible for books lost or damaged in mail.
Priority Mail: is 3-5 days
International Shipping: 7-24 days
Refusal Policy: In the unlikely event that you choose to refuse your order, SHC will charge a 15% restocking fee.

How do I return books I don't want?
Our policy is that we want you to be happy with the books you buy from us. That is why we have a 30-day return policy. This means if you return your books to us within 30 days of the date marked on your invoice, you receive the full amount of the book cost if books are returned to us in the same condition as when mailed to your residence. You pay for the shipping to and from unless it is a mistake on our part. Books returned after the 30 days will be handled as trade-in books. (We pay you 40% of what we mark the books)

Questions about the Website:
How do I know how much the book costs?
Usually there will be two prices listed by a book. The first price is the retail price, the second is our discounted price.

How do you price books, how much is the discount, and what are the codes?
Books will be priced according to the following criteria:

"A" ~ condition is 25% off retail price. New or near new.
"B" ~ condition is 50% off retail price. Cover may be worn or written on. Spine may be ripped or taped.
"C" ~ condition 1-10 pages may be missing or written on. Cover may be worn or gone or very ripped. Useable.
"NC" ~ means that it is not current with the most recent edition and is not compatible.
"*" ~ when an asterisk is found at the end of a title it means this book is compatible with the newest edition.

How do I know if the book is current?
Please look under the Condition portion of our online catalog. We mark the books NC when they are Not Current and Not Compatible. When the books are compatible but not the most recent edition, we place an * after the title. In other words, these books are compatible with the newest edition and can be used with ease. If you are unsure, please contact us here or call our toll free number, 877-923-1682 between 9-3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
